Race Recap – London 10 Mile

IMG_8444-1With my first half marathon just two months away the training is kicking into the next gear at the moment.  Last weekend I ran over 10km for the first time, doing a solo 12km from home to Buckingham Palace, finishing in 1 hour and 25 minutes.  Using that time, plus my usual 10km I decided to set myself a target of 2 hours for my next race – Sunday’s London 10 Mile in Richmond Park. 1 Year, 2 Half Marathons

I’ve been running now for about 6 months and for a little while i’ve been thinking about how to challenge myself.  Last year I had a big weight loss goal in mind and that kept me motivated over 12 months.  While i’m still getting to the end of that goal (i’m just a few weeks away from losing 10 stone) I knew i’d need a goal to keep me motivated again this year.
